Cardiff is the largest city in Wales, situated on the west coast of Britain. It can be accessed via road, rail and air. Cardiff has a rich archaeological history, dating back almost 6,000 years. Cardiff Castle is a great tourist attraction, and also offers the opportunity to visit the Wartime Shelters, used during the air raids of World War II. In fact, Cardiff has a good number of castles, all open to the public. The Cardiff Waterbus sails across the bay, offering a good vantage view of the city and bay areas. St David’s Hall and occasionally the Millennium Stadium house music concerts, and many of the lively pubs in St Mary’s St and Cardiff Bay regularly have live music. Cardiff is quickly growing a reputation as one of the UK’s top nightlife locations due to the friendly atmosphere and variety of pubs, with a good mix of locals, students and tourists.
